Title: water in the drain
I chose this picture as one of my better pictures because I think the coloring is strong. The way there's deep nature colors made this picture have a clear open feeling. I feel like the way the water is flowing makes the feeling of motion.

Title Skate
This picture is strong because the feet in the air and the skateboard along with it gave a feeling of motion which was intended. Also, the tilt of the skate board works well with the motion blur.

Heron
I liked this picture as one of my better because the way the heron was used as the subject and it's directly in the center. I also like how the heron is reflecting in the water. also the way the bird is in flight made the picture stronger. I feel like it was taken at perfect timing and shows my ability to be a photographer.

Down the road
This picture is better than others because the clarity and has a good use of the feet and skateboard as a focal point. Also because the colors are strong and it was taken from a good point.
Part 2:
1.Imagery effects faith because the way a picture is taken can make it seem more realistic, more fake, more evil, or less evil, etc.. With faith, if you take a picture of a cross on a sunny day it would create a feel of happiness and goodness. Now if you take that same picture, but add a dark dreary setting, it creates the feeling of evil and darkness. Photography enhances faith because it allows a visual for people who have to somewhat see to believe. For me, when I learn faith and such I like to see things and get a feel for what the setting is and imagery really allows that to happen. Something unseen can be proven or made more real by imagery because if you make the photograph realistic people are more likely to believe it. With imagery, manipulation can take place. There's different ways a photographer can manipulate the surroundings in the picture to make it seem more realistic and to have different effects on the viewer.
2. Photography grants ownership to what has been photographed because once you take that photo it's always there. No one but yourself can get rid of it technically, no one can erase the past. Also, once a photographer takes a photo they can do whatever they'd like with it. So in a way, it's like that photographer owns that location, person, object, etc.. I agree that my photographs own the subject because I can take a picture of the subject from whatever angle, I can edit it however I'd like, I may not own the physical object itself but it's basically like I own the looks or face of that object.
Part 3:
- I take photographs for control, for fun, and for possibly a future career. When I take photographs I am in control with what happens to that photograph next. If I don't like a color in that photograph, I can change it. If I want to add or fix blemishes, I can do that as well. I can post that picture, frame the picture, enter that picture to a gallery and become known. When I take pictures, it's like something that's 100% mine that no one else but myself can have. I also take pictures for fun. I enjoy walking around taking a ton of photos from different angles, different focal points, and so on. I get so excited when a picture comes out perfectly; strong coloring, perfect setting, just everything is perfect. For a career in the future, I may want to become a photographer. Taking pictures now helps me to prepare for what happens after high school. It gives me experience and also a chance to be recognized for my works now.
- My photography has changed because of my work this semester because I learned about different settings on cameras, different angles, and different techniques. Learning all of this helped my photos to become better and helped me to learn new ways to help my work. At first I was just taking pictures and basically not paying close attention to any sort of techniques. Now, I know more techniques and I can experiment with them.
- Some aspects of my photography that I want and need to develop more are colors and backgrounds. I feel like in some of my photos the coloring isn't very strong and the backgrounds are kind of just there. I want to take photos where the background has a purpose and isn't something that's just there because I couldn't control it being there. Also, I'd like to use more vibrant colors and make my pictures more clear.
- I will continue to remain an active photographer by carrying a camera with me a majority of the time this summer and in the future. Also, I'll experiment with the different techniques I've learned and look at other photographers for mentors, and ideas for my photos. I need to avoid taking pictures at boring angles, and I also need to avoid not having a main point in my pictures. Sometimes I just hit the button without focusing the camera on what I'm taking a picture of. Positive habits I need to cultivate are my habits to get clear, in focus pictures.
- In my student choice my photography reached a level of art because I got to photograph things in nature which is what I enjoy the most. I feel like I do things a lot better when I have control of the situation and getting to choose what I photographed really helped. I can continue taking photographs like these by taking photos of what I enjoy and around areas I like.
